In Loving Memory of Amanda Largo: A Life Celebrated

Amanda Largo, beloved daughter, wife, mother, and member of our community, passed away on January 5th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and compassion. Born on September 27th, 1997, to Robert and Michelle Van Damme, Amanda's radiant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Amanda brought joy and laughter into the world as the doting wife of Cody Largo and the devoted mother of her precious daughter, Azalea.

With heavy hearts, we remember Amanda's grandfathers, Wayne Spradling and Bill Van Damme, as well as her grandmothers, Denise King and Trudy Van Damme, who preceded her in death. Their unconditional love and guidance helped shape Amanda into the incredible woman she became. She is survived by her daughter, husband, parents, her sister Monica Rivas, and her grandmother Phyllis Spradling.

Amanda's life will be celebrated on Saturday, January 20th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. MST in the West Auditorium of Compass Christian Church in Chandler, Arizona. The service will be followed by a light lunch, allowing friends and family to gather together, share memories, and find solace in each other's company.

Amanda held a deep passion for music and cherished attending concerts and singing karaoke. A core memory was being in the front row of a Kelly Clarkson concert, completely in awe as she repeatedly exclaimed, "Mama, that is Kelly Clarkson!" Her vibrant energy and love for music will forever echo in our hearts. Her love of music inspired her transition from ice skating to hip-hop, tap, ballet, and then modern dance.

Her favorite colors, pink and black, reflected her vibrant personality and zest for life. Amanda's spirit will live on through the melodies of "You Are My Sunshine" and "Over the Rainbow," songs that held a special place and were treasured by her family.

In honoring Amanda's memory, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. By supporting this vital organization, we can assist those in need and raise awareness about the importance of mental health. Amanda's life is a powerful reminder of the significance of compassion and support for those facing challenging times.
