Anita “NIki” Rainha
died unexpectedly on 2/9/19 at Chandler Regional Medical Center Chandler, AZ.
She was born 12/2/1946 in Clearfield, PA ,the daughter of Guy T. Smeal and Dorothy Grubb Smeal of Clearfield, PA.
Niki graduated from Bradford High School Class of 1964. Following graduation she worked as a secretary at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, CT, and also operated her own Cruise Booking Company in her home. She married her sweetheart Philip Rainha from Marlborough, MASS and they settled in Colchester, CT. They celebrated 46 years of wedded bliss.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Philip, and her brother Guy L. “Butch” Smeal from Ohio and Bradford, PA who had five children. Rick, Kevin, Kim, Stephanie and Sheena. Nieces and nephews to Aunt Niki and Uncle Phil.
She is survived by her sister Virginia “Gini” Smeal Moore of West Hartford, CT
formerly from Bradford and Clearfield, PA., and her husband James “Buz” Moore their children Stacey Moore of Salem Ohio, Randy Moore of Newington, CT and Josie (Moore) and Scott Dumond of Newington, CT, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. and by her dear friends Bill and Linda Banks of Casa Grande, AZ and Mike and Ellen Steinbuchel from Orlando, FL
Niki thoroughly enjoyed reading, listening to her music. stamping and making greeting cards and of course, her Diet Coke. Niki loved her friends in Casa Grande/Palm Creek. We will miss her beautiful smile, her laughter, and her generous heart.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Bueler Funeral Home, Chandler AZ. Calling hours are from 2-4PM and Gradeside Services at 10:30 AM. Monday, February 18, 2019 National Cemetery of AZ.
