Aubin, Normand Joseph,
86 of Chandler, Arizona passed away while hospitalized on January 9, 2021, at a local Chandler hospital. Norm was a longtime resident of North Kingstown. He was the loving husband of Sue Ellen (Mangini) Aubin for 47 years. Norm was born in Fall River, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Fridolin Aubin and Mary Cabral.
Norm graduated from North Kingstown High School with the class of 1953. He served in the United States Navy from December 1953 through October 1957 and was employed by the town of North Kingstown from 1959 until 1980.
Norm moved to Arizona with his wife and daughter Megan in 1980, however his Rhode Island roots always remained close to his heart. To say that Norm was a people person does not begin to describe his outgoing personality, charm, and generosity. His ability to make a friend wherever he went was remarkable.
Norm’s family and extended family here in Arizona cannot imagine a Christmas Eve without his amazing Clams Casino or any gathering without his bigger than life presence. “ Stormin Normand” always lived his life with an unwavering sense of optimism and gratefulness and he encouraged all of us to do the same. We were so lucky that he was able to share those gifts right up until he left us. Norm will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and co-workers.
In addition to his wife, Norm leaves his beloved “gang”, daughter Megan Duncan, son-in-law Nathan Duncan and granddaughters, Gabriella, Delaney, and Marlee Duncan.
A memorial service and celebration of Norm’s life will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 230 West Galveston Street in Chandler, AZ. The service will take place on February 5, 2021, at 11:00 am. For those unable to attend, follow the memorial link to view the service.
