Barbara Jean Duerden
, of Chandler, Arizona passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 14, 2021, after a brief second battle with cancer. She was 65 years old. She was born to the late Ralph and Betty Duerden, June 23, 1956, in Lapeer, Michigan. Barb was the proud mother of 3 children. Her greatest love was her family and all her children were proud to call her mom.
Barb was a 1974 graduate of Waterford Township High School and a 1978 graduate of Michigan State University. She was an avid gardener that enjoyed year-round tinkering in her yard. She loved cooking and baking, especially if it was for her kids and grandkids. Her favorite saying was “Oh, Snap!” and she loved nothing more than decorating her house top to bottom for her favorite holidays, Halloween and Christmas.
Barb will be dearly missed by her loving family; daughter, Erin (Brian) Alison of Aurora, CO; son, Kean (Kristen) Kammer of Gilbert, AZ; son, Cody (Norma) Kammer of Tempe, AZ; and her four grandsons, Kamden Kammer, Kristopher Kammer, Benjamin Alison, and Dante Kammer. Barbara is also survived by her brothers, Ralph Duerden, Richard Duerden, Leonard Duerden, Robert Duerden, and their families.
