, age 65, of Gilbert, Arizona, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Despite a long and courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer, the illness could not break her positive and vibrant spirit. She lived life passionately, loving and being loved by so many. She was a loving partner, mother, “Mimi,” and sister and was always the brightest and most positive smile in the room. Barbara was an avid shopper, Arizona Cardinals fan, and was always ready to bake something delicious for those she loved most.
She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Charmise (Tuckett) Noel. She is survived by her children, Noel Williams, Adam Williams, daughter-in-law Lauren Williams, and Alexandra Williams; her grandchild Jackson Williams; partner George Taylor and his daughters Haley and Kelsey Taylor; siblings Cindy Togar, Michael Noel (Sue), Mark Noel, and Kristine Noel; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-law’s, those that lovingly called her “Mimi,” and hundreds of loving supportive friends who she always made feel like her family.
Barbara was an exceptional woman with unimaginable strength. She graduated from Marinette Catholic Central High School, where she was a cheerleader and social butterfly. Soon after, she married and moved her family to Arizona where she planted deep roots. After raising her family, Barbara earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in her 50’s despite her diagnosis and treatments. She held positions with large and small non- profit companies along the way. Barbara loved to volunteer, and was always looking for ways to help out and give back.
Barbara touched so many lives in many different communities. She had an amazing way of connecting with people, and collected lifelong friends and supporters. She was an inspiration to everyone she met. Her love, courage, grace, and strength will be missed by all who were fortunate to know and love her.
A celebration of life will be held at later date.
