She was proud that she was a 5

generation

Arizonan. She is the oldest of 3 girls. Her family moved from Safford when she was 3 to South Phoenix where she grew up. She went to South High where she graduated in 1960. While there, she met Ken Blankenbaker and married him in 1962. Then in February 1965 she had twin girls, which were a month overdue. In 1972 they moved to Chandler where they raised animals and grew alfalfa. In October 1974 she had her 3

rd

girl. After being Single for many years she met Mick South at a high school reunion and they were married on March 16

th

, 2002. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and really enjoyed being a part of the Relief Society activities committee. She worked many jobs throughout her life, but her favorite was anything to do with finance. She loved sports, crafts, traveling, shopping, and especially cooking, but most of all, spending time with her family, and laughing until she cried.

Saturday February sā€. 22035 E Ocotillo Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142. Viewing at 9:00am and Funeral service at lO:OO am. Interment: Pine Cemetery ā€“ Pine, AZ

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Michael South, Her father Acil J Taylor, her mother Wylene Johnstun Taylor, and her brother in law Jerry South.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Travis and Susy Dutson, Joe Larson, Dina Rossell, Bev Wilkenson, Mark & Kristen Voorhies, friends, family, The Ranch Ward, The Crystal Shores Ward and all of the hospital and hospice workers.
