Beatrice M Rodriguez

Beatrice "Tichi" Montano Rodriguez, 84, of Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, passed away on October 17th, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on May 10, 1939. Tichi, as she was affectionately called, was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

 

Nana Tichi was known for her infectious happiness, warm smile, and friendly nature. She had a knack for striking up conversations with anyone she met. She had a passion for music, especially Classica Rancheras and ballads. Nana Tichi was recognized by her signature red lipstick, which she always wore with pride. She carried a treasure bag, containing her paños, red lipstick, poli-grip, and money that she was ready to share with her grandchildren.

 

She is survived by her two siblings: Ramon and Irma Montano; five children: Jesse Montano and his children Jessica and Johnny Montano, and Lisa Archuleta; Rosa Linda Montano and her children Germann Balderrama, Gloria Inez and Gabriella Montano; Myrna Teran and her children Gabriel Jr. and Marissa Teran; Bianca Rodriguez and her children John Jr. and Esteban Martinez; and Gracie Rodriguez and her children Natalya, Bryanna and Lauren Valles; three step-children: Olga Romero, Juan and Lori Rodriguez. Nana Tichi was a cherished Nana to 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

 

Tichi was preceded in death by her father, Ignacio Montano, her mother, Gabriella Rojas, and her husband, Maximo Rodriguez. She also mourned the loss of an unborn child. The Memorial Services for Tichi will be held at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 West Hulet Drive,  Chandler, AZ 85225 on November 18th, 2023. The viewing will take place from 9 am to 11 am, followed by the service from 11 am to 12 pm. A burial will follow at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 1562 East Baseline Road, Mesa, AZ 85204 at 1 pm.

 

Tichi's memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, love for music, and her unwavering devotion to her family. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
