Brent Joseph Olberding

Brent Joseph Olberding, at the age of 49, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026. Brent passed away at his home in Chandler, AZ, surrounded by his family.

Brent was born in Atkinson, NE on August 2, 1977 and was raised on the family dairy farm in Stuart, NE. After graduating from Stuart High School in 1995 as the salutatorian, Brent moved to Phoenix, Arizona, enlisted in the Arizona Army National Guard and enrolled in college. After graduating with a degree from High Tech Institute, Brent worked for the Intel Corp. in Chandler, AZ, producing microprocessor chips.

In 2013, Brent found and married the love of his life, Angela (Menking) of Fremont, NE, a union which brought to the world two beautiful children, Nolan (age 11) and Harper (age 8).

Brent was passionate and truly loved every activity that his children participated in, often volunteering his time as a coach. He loved his Huskers, Diamondbacks, Cardinals, and his rescued boxer dogs, making them part of his family for many years. Brent remembered fondly his time growing up in north central Nebraska on the family dairy farm, which instilled ethics that served him well during the course of his life. After a determined and stubborn fight, with his caring wife by his side, Brent succumbed to cancer. He was above all, a devoted and caring husband, father, son, sibling, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. He will be missed.

Brent leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Angela (Menking) and his beloved children, Nolan and Harper, all of Chandler, AZ; parents, Dwaine & Susan Olberding of Atkinson, NE; in-laws, Roscoe & Cheri Menking of Fremont, NE; siblings: Kami (Brent) Hooey of Atkinson, NE, Kent (Leah) Olberding of Norfolk, NE, Brian (Alyssa) Olberding of Columbus, NE, Dr. Brad (Jackie) Olberding of Lincoln, NE, Kole (Shannon) Olberding of Atkinson, NE, and Kristin (Jon) Busse of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Brent is preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur & Lillian Olberding and Donald & Zola Mills.
