Brian John Lynch, of Phoenix, died on Monday, May 29. He was 58 and the cause of death was heart related.
Born on December 10, 1964, in Jerseyville, Illinois, to Diana and John Lynch, Brian lived in various places including Illinois, New York, Virginia, Florida, Arizona, Switzerland, and California as his parents moved for work, as did he in his professional career. He became a well-respected semi-conductor engineer, a profession he loved and in which he excelled.
He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, as well as an appreciation of gourmet food, fine wines, deep sea fishing and sports cars.
He met his wife, Elizabeth ‘Liz” Lynch, nee Raymond, in Switzerland, while he was working there, and she was a student studying French. Eventually, they moved back to the U.S. to start a life together.
Besides his wife, Brian is survived by two sons, Sean Brian Lynch, 24, and Ethan Raymond Lynch, 21; his father and stepmother John and Elaine Lynch of Scottsdale; a stepsister, Tasha Lynch Hudson, her husband Reed, and son Colton; a stepbrother, Seth Kist, his wife, Sarah Flowers Kist and their two daughters, Alexandria Flowers and Samantha Kist; and many close friends and colleagues. He was predeceased by his mother and stepfather, Diana Weslick Lynch McCarthy, and Ron McCarthy.
A memorial will be planned for sometime this summer.
Donations in Brian’s name to the St. Mary’s Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
