Brock Alan Mccoy

Born:  November 30, 1952

Brock Alan McCoy, lifelong resident of the Denver area, passed away at the age of 66 on May 31, 2019 surrounded by his family.  Above all, Brock was a family man, and a proud American.  He is survived by, and lovingly remembered by, his wife Donna, his seven children, thirteen grandchildren, two sisters, three brothers and a large extended Iowa family.

Brock grew up in Denver, and attended South High School.  He joined the army, serving during the Vietnam Era as a Green Beret, sending home money to support his mother and five younger siblings.  He served his community for 28 years as a Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy, and was involved with many specialty teams, including: Bomb Team Commander, SWAT, Investigations, Corrections, Dive Team, Internal Affairs, FTO and Traffic.  His passion for law enforcement drove him to serve and protect, attaining the rank of Captain.

Known by all for his big heart, and extreme soft spot for his grandchildren (and every dog he ever met), Brock was also a good listener and thoughtful adviser.  His sense of humor and love of practical jokes were ever present, and most evident when golfing with his family and friends.  He loved life, and was the kind of guy who never met a stranger.

Brock’s life will be celebrated on June 21st at 1:00 p.m. at the West Bowles Community Church, 12325 W Bowles Ave, Littleton, CO 80127 with a memorial service and reception.
