Calvin William Rezzonico

Calvin William Rezzonico, a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend went to be with the Lord on August 4

th

, 2023.

Calvin (Cal) was born on March 29

th

, 1957, in Prescott, Arizona. He was raised by his parents Bill & Velma alongside his brothers and sisters in Chino Valley until the family moved the dairy to Gilbert in 1968. Calvin’s dedication to farming and agriculture was fostered early in his life as he spent the formidable years of his childhood working alongside Bill and his Grandfather Quirico on the dairy. Cal learned early on the value of loyalty and hard work. Cal graduated from Gilbert High School in 1975 and married Mary Ann Serrano in 1982. Shortly after, Cal and Mary Ann established their own dairy business “Calimar Dairy” in Chandler where they raised their three daughters – Holly, Callie, and Jordan. Throughout the years living on the farm Calvin passed on his love for animals to his children. Before the girls could walk, they had already learned how to ride a horse. He also coached his daughter’s softball and basketball teams and could be found in the stands cheering them on (very loudly of course) at their gymnastics meets and volleyball tournaments. Calvin and Mary Ann eventually sold the dairy farm and in the following years Cal spent much of his time in Yuma running his hay sales company, CR Consulting and Brokerage.  He eventually came back to work alongside his parents at Rezzonico Hay Sales in Queen Creek. Calvin was very active in the community. He was a member of the Chandler Compadres where he helped serve those in need. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Chandler Girls Softball League and Dairy Herd Improvement Association.

Calvin was a driven, dedicated, and loving father until his last day. He loved spending time with his daughters and grandkids, watching the Cowboys game, smoking a good cigar on the patio, riding horses, and taking charge of the grill at family dinners. He spent many summers with his family in Pinetop and some of his best memories were teaching his girls how to fish. We will always remember him for his boisterous personality, ability to make others laugh, and his unconditional love for his family.

Calvin is survived by his three daughters Holly (Michael Vargas), Callie (Andrew Graham), and Jordan, two grandchildren (Finley and River), Father (Bill), and four siblings (Susan, Les, Joey, Amy). He is preceded in death by his mother Velma.

The Funeral Services for Calvin will be held Wednesday, August 16
