Catherine (Kay) Owen

August 19, 1923- January 3, 2021

Catherine, A.K.A. Mom, Mummy, Kay, Nana, Aunt Catherine, went home to The Lord at the age of 97. She is survived by her two sons Bruce and Rod Owen and daughter Cheryl King. Five

grandsons, one granddaughter, four great grandsons, five great granddaughters & most recently one great-great grandson plus many nieces and nephews!

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Earl Owen, her parents Josef and Elisabeth Krieg, both her older sisters Helen Hoffmann and Elsie White, and her younger brother Robert

Krieg.

She was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri where she attended all her schools, including a Tech High School specializing in secretarial work. She met her husband, Earl, at the USO military

dance in St. Louis during WWII. And soon after they fell in love were married just before Earl was deployed to Asia. After 27 years in Missouri, she spent the next 30 years in Michigan and

then her final 40 years in Arizona (last 21 as a widow).

Catherine was well loved by all and she has left a major void now with her absence! Until we meet again…

Celebration of life service will take place at Holy Trinity Church in Chandler @ 2pm on Feb. 14, 2021 via Zoom. More details to follow.
