Charles Victor Neale

, loving Dad and Grandfather, known as “G” to family and friends, lived to be 95 years young.  In his 95 years he remained physically active, stayed on top of current events, and was as sharp as a tack until the very end.  It was remarkable that a 95 year old could fight back so fiercely from valley fever, double pneumonia, C.diff, and congestive heart failure…..but battle back he did.  He never quit and he never gave up.  His body just wore out and stopped. G left his mark on several generations of family and friends. He was a model of behavior in so many ways:

He was all about

Family First

. Family was everything to him – the world revolved around his wife, Julia (who preceded him in death), and his family.  There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do or sacrifice for his family – family first is a good motto for him and

loyalty to family

.

And

truthfulness

was another thing about G – he was incapable of telling a lie to anyone about anything his entire life.  He just didn’t have it in his make up to tell something that was not true.  One could

trust

that what he said and what he did was always a match.

He was also all about

commitment and responsibility

. If you promise to do something then you better do it was his belief.

Commitment, persistence, and never give up

are characteristics that he held since he was a child and passed on to many generations.

And when it was all said and done, he was a good man and a kind man.

His Mackenzie High School High School yearbook (class of 1937 or 1938) has an insightful and prophetic description about him below his photo.  The inscription read,

“this kind of man never fails.”

So be it and so it was.  He will be missed.

G’s family, which was his life, included his wife, Julia (deceased); his parents, William and Beatrice, (both deceased); his brother, Gerald Neale & spouse, Betty (both deceased);  G’s children,  Susan B. Muskett & spouse, John Harold; William S. Neale & spouse, Kristine; G’s grandchildren,  John C. Muskett & spouse, Marjorie; Laura Kurichh & spouse, Sanjay; Jessica McGregor & spouse, Erik; Brian Neale & fiancé’ Maren.  Great grandchildren: Casen, Emma, Madeline, Ryan, Brandon, Quinn & Liam.  And a host of other nieces, nephews and relatives in the US, England, France, Australia & New Zealand.
