He was born October 4
th
, 1951, in Waterloo, IA, son of Darrell and Lillian (Bateman) Berghaus. Here he would later meet and build his family with his wife Sue, daughters Stephanie and Jennifer, and son Christopher.
He and his family later relocated to Arizona where they would build their future together. Dale lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, enjoying a good car race, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He always enjoyed the outdoors; relaxing by the pool, barbequing, weekend camping trips, spending time on the water boating, or playing fetch with the dogs. He had an uncanny way of making friends and building long lasting relationships.
He is survived by his loving wife Sue; two daughters, Stephanie (John) Eason and Jennifer (David) Todd; three grandchildren, Weslie and Sydney Eason, and Dylan Todd; and one sister, Gayle Jones. He was preceded in death by his only son, Christopher Berghaus, his parents, and grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at Beuler Chandler Mortuary in Chandler, AZ on Wednesday, August 19
th
, 2020 at 10:00AM. Due to the current COVID19 pandemic, services are limited to family members.
