Daniel Goodweather Hawkins

January 28, 1979 — March 16, 2024

Daniel Goodweather Hawkins, 45 of Chandler, AZ, died on March 16, 2024, with his family by his side.

Daniel was born in Sherman, TX on January 28, 1979, to Ronald and Patricia Hawkins of Whitesboro, TX. One brother Austin Hawkins  of Sherman, TX. Daniel was also a member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Daniel professed his faith in our Lord and Savior at a young age.

After graduating from Sherman High School, Daniel began his educational journey. He received his Bachelor of Science in Geography from Arizona State University and went on to get his MBA from The University of Louisville.

In 2005, Daniel met Heather in Big Spring, TX. They were married on June 22, 2005, in Odessa, TX. They became a family of 8 with 6 children: Kaitlyn Bunn (29) of Chandler, AZ , Douglas Tatum Bunn (25) of Campbellsville, KY, Mattie Bunn (24) of Murfreesboro, TN, Sydney Hawkins (17), Piper Hawkins (16) & Hayden Hawkins (15) of Chandler, AZ.

Daniel walked through life with a positive spirit. He always believed everything would be ok. Daniel was kind and generous with everyone in his life. Daniel lived a happy and adventurous life with his family. He wore many hats, but being a husband and father was the most important. He made sure his kids had everything and never lacked love. Daniel loved his family, traveling, his cats (Crybaby, Saké, Ewok & Larry), reading maps, and all things planes, trains and automobiles.

Daniel will be missed every, single day but we will carry your love with us wherever we go.

We will honor Daniel with a private family service. A Celebration of Life BBQ in Texas will be held at a later date.
