Danielle Kristin Hawks was born on August 20, 1971, in Manhattan, New York, and she grew up in Cresskill, New Jersey. She later spent many meaningful years in Northern Virginia and for the past decade, Danielle called Phoenix, Arizona, home. She tragically departed this world on August 27, 2025, leaving behind a profound impact on all who had the privilege to know her.
A true champion for animals, Danielle devoted much of her life to their welfare and protection. Her dedication and gentle spirit touched everyone she met and inspired many to follow her example of empathy and kindness. Danielle was deeply loved and will never be forgotten. Her spirit will live on and soar with the angels.
Danielle cherished her family with all her heart. She is survived by her loving mother, Jolan Benzies, and her devoted sisters; Kirsten Price Alexander, Victoria Benzies, and Marna Albanese. She also leaves behind her beloved nephew, Damion Maxwell; her dear aunt, Barbara Nagy; many cousins; and last but never least, her treasured dogs, Jagger, Duncan, and Ziva, who brought her endless joy and companionship.
To honor her beautiful life, a Celebration of Life will be held on October 18, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ahwatukee Recreation Center, located at 5001 E. Cheyenne Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85044. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in remembrance and love, sharing memories that reflect the bright light Danielle brought into the world.
