In Memory of David Alan Bennett

On December 2, 2025, we lost David Bennett of Phoenix, Arizona, in a tragic automobile accident. A beloved presence in the music community, David worked tirelessly behind the scenes, shaping countless live performances and ensuring that every fan experienced the magic of the moment.

David was born in Sandusky, Michigan, to Gary and Debra Bennett, and spent his childhood growing up among the close-knit communities of Sanilac County.

He is survived by many loved ones, including his mother, Debra Rodden; his stepmother, Janeen Bennett; and his siblings, James (Joe) Bennett, Michaelene (Adam) Hall, Gary (Patti) Bennett, and Bill (Diane) Krause. He also leaves behind his daughters, Alexis (Mihail) Mascov and Katarina Sheffield; his grandson, Nicolai Mascov; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

David was preceded in death by many dear family members: his father, Gary Bennett; his stepfather, Arthur Romanoff; all of his grandparents from the Bennett, Griffee, Girard, and Krause families; his uncles, Pete and Butch Bennett, Dave Krause, and Ray Girard; and his aunt, Linda Girard. Among the losses he carried closest to his heart was that of his cousin and childhood best friend, Lenny Bennett, whose passing brought him immeasurable grief.

David will be deeply missed by the many family members and friends whose lives he touched with kindness and humor. Though his passing leaves a profound emptiness, we find solace in knowing he is with the Lord and rests now in eternal peace. Cremation will take place, and his family will honor his life in a private observance.
