Dennis John Dobson, a 3

rd

generation of the original Dobson pioneering family of the Salt River Valley, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023, at the age of 80 in Gilbert, Arizona with family members by his side.  He was born on May 14, 1942, in Phoenix, Arizona to Earl and Eileen Dobson.  He grew up in Chandler, Arizona, graduated from Mesa High School in 1960, and received a degree in Agriculture, Economics and Management from Arizona State University in 1964. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

After graduation, Dennis followed in the family business running his farm around Dobson and Elliot Roads in Chandler until the late 1970’s.  Dennis then moved his farming operation to Gilbert, Arizona.  He operated the Four Silos Farm at Gilbert and Williams Field Road until he retired from the farming business in the early 1990’s.  Dennis spent the last several decades with his attention on real estate investments.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Judith A. Dobson, and his children Denise E. Comella (Bill) of Mesa, Arizona, and Vicki Dobson Montei (Kurt) of Tempe, Arizona and grandchildren Matthew, Cole, Luke, Carter and Ella, and his stepdaughters, Gail Brown of Mesa, Arizona and Toni Bryan of Gilbert, Arizona and step grandchildren, Chris, Robbie, Misty, Matt, Shawna and Savannah.  He is also survived by his two brothers, Dwayne Dobson and Vinson Dobson, in addition to step-great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Trinity Christian Fellowship, 50 S McQueen Rd, Chandler, AZ 85225, on Friday, March 31

at 11am, with a reception afterward.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Trinity Christian Fellowship at their website tcfchandler.org/donatepayments.
