Dennis Roy Koedyker, 84, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025. Born in Gary, Indiana, Dennis Koedyker was a devoted son to Orval and Clarice Koedyker and a loving brother to his younger sister, Cheryle. He graduated from Portage Township High School in 1958 and continued his education at Indiana University and Butler University.
In 1963, Dennis proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Petroleum Laboratory Specialist stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. On June 6, 1964, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Rose Kachur. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising two daughters, Diane and Kristen Koedyker. He was a devoted grandfather to Heather and Holli Meza, who brought him immense joy.
Dennis enjoyed a successful career as a Systems Analyst for over 15 years before following his entrepreneurial spirit and starting his own commercial cleaning business. A true craftsman and visionary, Dennis crafted and built a mountain home from the ground up in Pine, Arizona, where he lived with his family for several years before returning to the Valley of the Sun with his wife, Marilyn.
Dennis is survived by his sister, Cheryle; his daughters, Diane and Kristen; and his grandchildren, Heather and Holli. He also leaves behind his nieces, Terry and Tracey and their families. He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Delores Diane, and by his beloved wife of 52 years, Marilyn Koedyker.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 7th at 12:00 p.m. at Victory Lutheran Church, 5946 E. University Dr. Mesa, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family wishes to thank the staff at Alta Mesa/The Groves and Ohana AZ for their compassionate care.
