Dennis Patrick Sullivan

March 17, 1959 — June 4, 2025

On June 4, 2025, Dennis Sullivan, a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and dog dad, passed away very peacefully at home. He was 66 years of age. Dennis was a loving, caring, selfless, and kind-hearted soul. He was always considerate of the feelings of others. His generosity was never-ending. Most of all, Dennis loved to tell jokes and hear people laugh. He always had a smile on his face; he had so much love to give.

Dennis worked tirelessly to give his wife Debbie and daughter Sheena the most joyous life possible; packed full of fun and adventure. Dennis was very reliable, dependable, hard-working, and completely dedicated to his family. He was so very proud of Sheena and all of her life accomplishments. Dennis was in awe of her strength, ambition, hard work, and the level of success she has had as an adult. He will be forever cheering her on.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Debbie; the love of his life for forty years, brother-in-law Wes Richardson, daughter Sheena, and her husband, Rusty Gaynes. Dennis was extremely close with his wife’s parents, Doug and Audrey Richardson, and brother-in-law Murray. It broke his heart when they passed away. They were a daily part of his life. Family travels and adventures were never-ending. They meant the world to him.

Dennis was born in Butte, Montana. One of seven children born to Earl and Mary Sullivan. He is survived by his two brothers, Tim and Joe, four sisters; Shirley, Mary, Maggie, Terry, and their children. Dennis had a special relationship with his brother Tim, his wife Sally, and his niece Jennifer Hislop. Just like Dennis, they are very loving souls.

Dennis worked in the technology industry as a computer engineer. He started his career as a paper boy, went to college, earned a degree, and gave every job he held 100% of his time and effort. He was very well regarded in the industry. Then, in 2005, he fell ill. By 2011, he began the fight for his life with an incurable Parkinson movement disorder known as Dystonia. There were many ups and downs with Deb and Sheena always by his side.

Dennis was a dog dad. He believed that the best thing he could do was adopt a rescue. Charlie was their first dog, who traveled everywhere with the family, and passed in 2002. Fievel, Shiloh, and Minnie came next. They gave him so much joy while he battled his illness. Dennis tried hard to live just for them. After their passing came Harley. Dennis and Harley have had many walking adventures over the past four years that included Sheena’s dog, Daisy. He loved all of his dogs so much. He would have done anything in the world for them. Harley was sleeping at his side when Dennis passed away.

Dennis had a way of making us smile, not just with jokes, but with his genuine warmth and lighthearted spirit. We will cherish every memory.

There is a private family viewing and service scheduled on June 14, and June 21, 2025. Shortly thereafter we will send out notifications for an outdoor “Celebration of Life” event.

In lieu of flowers and cards, if you would like to make a small donation to an Animal Rescue, Dennis would do cartwheels in Heaven.
