Domingo S. Rodriguez
It is with great sadness the family of Domingo S. Rodriguez announces his passing on March 17, 2020, surrounded by their love at the age of 71 years. Well known as Mingo, Tio Mingo and Grandpa Mingo.
Born on August 1, 1948 to Domingo and Manuela S. Rodriguez in Chandler, AZ. In 1967, he graduated from Chandler High School.
Mingo proudly served our country in Vietnam as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1969. After honorably discharged from the Marine Corp, he continued his military service, and retired after 28 years from the Army National Guard.
Mingo is survived by his companion Sue Harris; Sons; Domingo (Yvonne) and Rick (Lucy); proud grandfather to Justin, Keyanna, Alyssa, Lauren, and Domingo; brother to Catalina, Frances, and Margaret; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Private family services will be held at Bueler Mortuary, 14W. Hulet Dr. Chandler, AZ 85225, viewing/rosary at 9am, eulogy at 10am, and will then be laid to rest alongside his parents at Mesa Cemetery 1212 N. Center St. Mesa AZ 85201.
**Grandpa Mingo will forever be remembered as a quiet, kind, strong, hard-working, proud Marine, who always asked what’s going on with our lives, taught us to shoot, the discipline of caring for animals, especially his love of horses. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone, often putting others before himself.
