Donald Eugene Baker

We are saddened to announce that Donald Eugene Baker, age 79, of Maricopa passed away March 27, 2026. Don is survived by his wife, Loretta, his daughter Laurinda Nelson, (Curt) and his son, Lance Baker, (Yancy) and grandchildren, Connor, Bennett, Mackenzie, Brooke, Bryce and Brett. He is preceded in death by his parents, two older brothers, (Leonard and Jerry), and his oldest son Darin. Don grew up in Springfield, Missouri where he attended High School. Don then retired from the Railroad and moved to Maricopa to be closer to family. Don may have had some struggles but lived life to the fullest. He loved the railroad, telling stories, fishing, westerns and a good glass of whiskey with his cigar. Don would do anything for his friends, family, and loved watching his grandkids grow up and achieve great things. Our family is grateful to know that Don is finally at peace. Services will be held at the Province Clubhouse on April 18, 2026 at 1:00 pm, all are welcome.
