Dorothy I. Willis, age 98, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on May 25, 2023. She was born in 1924 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She was the last of 10 children – Margaret, Lorraine, Marian, June, Harold, Ken, Donald, Bill, and Wayne.
Dorothy married Lawrence Willis in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and celebrated 44 years of marriage until his death. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Lepley, son-in-law Ronald Lepley, and sons Brian, daughter-in-law Barbara; Lawrence Jr., daughter-in-law Kathy; and Dean. She had six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Dorothy and Lawrence owned and operated a trucking business and the North View restaurant in Payson, Arizona, for many years. She was a long-standing member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. She was an avid reader, loved working out at the gym, and a wonderful cook. Her Christmas cookies and cranberry salad were legendary. She also loved to sew, making dresses for her granddaughters, and receiving blankets for her great-grandchildren.
