In Loving Memory

With profound sadness and unwavering faith, we announce the passing of our beloved Dustin Carrillo, who entered into the presence of the Lord on July 6, 2026, at the age of 46.

Dustin was born on August 4, 1979, and was a lifelong source of love, strength, and encouragement to his family and friends. He was a devoted man of God whose faith guided every aspect of his life. His relationship with the Lord was evident in the compassion he showed others, the kindness he extended without hesitation, and the unwavering love he shared with everyone blessed to know him.

Above all else, Dustin was a devoted father. His greatest joy in life was his children—Jayden, Channing, Braylen, and Ozzie. They were the center of his world, and he loved them beyond measure. He took great pride in being their father and cherished every moment spent encouraging them, laughing with them, and creating memories they will carry with them forever. His love and guidance will continue to live on through each of them.

Dustin was the cherished son of Sylvia Acuña and Tim Carrillo, and was also deeply loved by his stepfather, Rick Acuña. He shared a special bond with his sister, Lisa Pacheco (Ramon), and his brothers, Chris Mesa and Ryder Acuña. Family meant everything to Dustin, and he was never happier than when he was surrounded by those he loved.

Dustin also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were enriched by his love, laughter, and unwavering faith.

A proud graduate of Mesa High School, Dustin was a talented athlete who excelled in basketball, football, and baseball. His passion for sports was evident from an early age and continued well beyond high school. Throughout adulthood, he remained active, especially enjoying golf, baseball, and basketball, where his competitive spirit, teamwork, and love for the game continued to shine. Whether he was on the golf course, baseball field, on the basketball court, or cheering others on. Sports were one of the many ways he connected with family, friends and created lasting memories.

Dustin built a successful career as a Chief Engineer at Homewood Suites by Hilton, where he earned the respect and admiration of everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. He was known for his exceptional work ethic, technical knowledge, and unwavering dedication to his profession. More than his accomplishments, Dustin will be remembered for the way he treated people. He was always willing to mentor, support, and encourage his coworkers, never hesitating to lend a helping hand or share his knowledge. He believed in teamwork, took pride in his work, and inspired those around him through his leadership, humility, and genuine care for others. His passion for his career was matched only by his desire to see others succeed.

Those who knew Dustin will remember his generous heart, infectious smile, and the unforgettable hugs that made everyone feel loved. His hugs weren't just an embrace - they were filled with warmth, comfort, reassurance, and unconditional love. They had a way of making everything feel okay, and they became one of the many beautiful gifts he shared with everyone around him.

Although our hearts are broken by his passing, we find peace in knowing Dustin is now resting in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. While we grieve his absence, we rejoice in God's promise of eternal life and look forward to the day we will be reunited.

Though Dustin's earthly journey has ended, his faith, his love, and the countless memories he created will remain in our hearts forever. His legacy will live on through his children, his family, and everyone who was blessed to know him.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

 — 2 Timothy 4:7
