Frances Melendrez Arvallo

, 81 passed away at home on May 2, 2018. She was born on May 7, 1936 in Tempe, AZ to Maximo and Candelaria Valencia. She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Arvallo as well as 3 sisters Rosa, Minnie, and Eva and 2 brothers, Jose and Carlos. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Elizabeth (Samuel) and Nanette,  2 sons, Joe and Manuel, 3 sisters, Anita, Elvira, and Elena (Leo) and 2 brothers, Maximo and Robert (Alice). Frances was a kind and thoughtful friend to many as well as a loving and devoted wife and mother. Aside from spending time with her family, Frances was happiest working in her garden surrounded by the flowers she coaxed to life. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, her tortillas were legendary. Her sweet and caring nature will be greatly  missed. A rosary will be held at 9:30 followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 230 W. Galveston St. Chandler, AZ on Thursday, May 10, 2018.
