Harold B. Thompson Jr.

Harold Bynum Thompson Jr. "Hal", 67, of Chandler, AZ passed away on February 12, 2024. He was born in Mesa, AZ. 

He retired from the Intel Corporation in 2017 having also had careers in law enforcement and copper mining. He was a Past Exalted Ruler of the Globe Miami Elks Lodge and a Hunter Safety instructor with Arizona Game and Fish.

He is survived by his wife Leslie Thompson, his daughters Sali (Hayden) and Ashton (Martin) and his 6 grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by the Curran-Ortiz-Robbins-Thompson families and his friends.

He was preceded in death by his son James Bynum Thompson, his parents Harold and Mina Thompson and his stepmother Rosie Thompson.

A Visitation will be held on February 22, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225. A Funeral Mass will be held on February 23, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 230 W. Galveston Street, Chandler, AZ 85225. Interment will follow at 12:00 pm (Noon) at Mountain View Cemetery, 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207. 

The family also invites you to join us for a “pint” on February 23, 2024 at 1:30 pm at Fibber McGees Pub, 1989 W. Elliot Road, Chandler, AZ 85224.

Donations in his memory may be sent to AZ Game and Fish or the Irish Cultural Center in Phoenix.
