Helena Defonse, born Helena Damasse in Port-Salut, Haiti in 1940, was a devoted mother, friend, and servant of God who deeply loved her family. In 1969, she married Lemite Defonse, and together they were blessed with six children: Pascale, Clozene, Viles, Closel, Harry, and Daniella, as well as ten grandchildren.
Helena was a strong and hardworking woman who provided for her family through factory work, small businesses, and many other efforts. In 1995, she immigrated to the United States, where she continued supporting her loved ones in Haiti. In 2013, she gave her life to Christ and found peace and comfort in her faith.
