Ignacio “Nacho” Hernandez Jr

Ignacio “Nacho” Hernandez Jr. 50, of Gilbert, AZ, passed away on June 11, 2023. He was born on April 22, 1973, in Phoenix, AZ, to Lupe and Ignacio Sr.

Nacho was a hard worker who took pride in his work. He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help others. Nacho was a leader who treated everyone equally. He was a peacemaker who saw the good in everyone.

Nacho is survived by his wife Rosa Hernandez, their children Ciarra and Nacho III, granddaughter Nuvia, his mother Lupe, brother Eric and sister Natalie. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Nacho attended Chandler High School and eventually went on to work many jobs including working at Intel, as a manufacturing technician and then his final workplace at Praxair/Linden, as a logistic technician supplier. In his free time, Nacho enjoyed DJing in his younger years with John Chacon, a dear friend of his. Rooting for the Raiders (win or lose) and spending time with his family. He especially loved his time with his 4 year-old granddaughter Nuvia, even with short amount – time spent together, shared a special bond with each other.

Nacho will be dearly missed by all who crossed his path, making so many friends along the way.

A Viewing will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 230 W. Galveston Street, Chandler, AZ 85225.
