James Monroe Anderson Sr.

We are sad to announce the passing of James Monroe Anderson Sr. of Gilbert, Arizona.  James was born on February 13, 1944, and passed away at the age of 79 on April 21, 2023, at 10:02 AM.  James passed surrounded by his loved ones after a battle with heart failure.  He will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

James is survived by his wonderful wife of 57 years, Virginia Anderson, three daughters, Darlene Witten and husband Gary Witten, Fern Wood, Debbie Anderson, and his son Jim Anderson Jr. and wife Lisa Anderson.  James had 10 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren that he loved dearly.

James worked in the Construction industry as a Safety Director for Sundt, FNF Construction, and DBA Construction.

To honor James’s memory, a Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Chapel, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, Arizona 85225. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 10:00 am at Full Life Church, 532 W. Ray Road, Chandler, Arizona 85225. A Graveside Service with honors will follow at 12:30 pm at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024.
