Jan Figura

passed away on November 7th, 2021. He was born on March 25th, 1950 in Zakopane, Poland. While living in Poland he met his spouse of 46 years, Janina. His first child, Chris Figura was born overseas in 1975. Shortly after, Jan left for the United States to create a better life for his family. Once Jan had a job and home established his wife and son came to join him in Chicago, Illinois.

Jan was always looking out for the well-being of his family therefore they soon after moved to Cleveland, Ohio to pursue additional opportunities. His second child, Teresa Figura was born in 1984.

He worked very hard in a factory as a machinist for years. Outside of working, he enjoyed spending time with his family and taking small trips whenever possible. He loved to work on cars and his home. He was always able to figure out a way to fix anything. In 2008, Jan and Janina moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona to enjoy the warm weather and retire.

In addition to Jan’s wife and children, he is survived by his grandchild Izabella and daughter-in-law Michelle Figura. Also, surviving are his brother and sister-in-law Jozef and Jadwiga Figura, Sisters Kristine and Grazyna Kmiec, and sister-in-law Zofia Jurcevic and family.
