It is with deep sorrow and eternal love that we announce the passing of Jane “Desiree” Penson of Gilbert, Arizona, who left this world on May 29th, 2025, at the age of 67.
She had a deep love for animals, especially horses, and never missed a chance to ride in her younger years. She was even crowned a Rodeo queen. She had a passion for her home pets (Dogs/Cats) and once showed a prize winning Shar Pei. Desiree’s home was filled with handmade crafts, love, and a warmth that made everyone feel welcome.
Desiree was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and a fierce spirit. She touched the lives of everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. She fought like hell until it was her time to ride off into the sunset on her horse, just the way she would have wanted.
Desiree lived a life full of color and joy. As a professional clown, she brought laughter wherever she went, brightening the lives of children and adults alike. She had a gift for telling jokes that left you in stitches, and a heart big enough to hold the whole world. Whether she was crafting something beautiful by hand or offering a comforting word, Desiree gave of herself fully and joyfully.
She was strength and softness, grit and grace. Above all, she was a devoted mother to her three children: Michael Penson, his wife Alicia, Angela Olson, her husband Brad, and Rob Penson, his wife Amanda. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Jameson, Cora, and Layla, children of Michael and Alicia; Chloe, Anthony, and Caden, children of Angela and Brad; and Brantley and Tinley, children of Rob and Amanda.
Desiree was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Cuave and Opal Hatch. She is survived by her loving siblings, Rusty, Alayna, and Gayla, who shared in her laughter, her memories, and her journey through life.
Desiree’s legacy lives on in every laugh she sparked, every heart she comforted, and every life she uplifted with her fierce compassion and endless wit. Though we mourn her deeply, we take solace in knowing she is at peace, reunited with loved ones, and watching over us with that mischievous smile we all knew and adored.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to anyone who helped support Desiree with grace, kindness, and dignity in her final days. She was surrounded with love and said heartfelt goodbyes.
