Jeanette (Jan) Seitzer

Jeanette (Jan) Seitzer, 89, of Chandler, Arizona passed away on April 29, 2026, with her husband and nephew Brad by her side. Born in Minot, North Dakota, on August 27, 1936. Jeanette was the daughter of Nels and Jane Ward Nelson.

She worked in Banks and Credit Unions for many years. She married her husband in Minot on August 26, 1967. He was stationed Minot Air Force Base and moved from Minot to Altus AFB Oklahoma, to Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson and then to Luke AFB in Glendale, Arizona. After Al’s retirement, they settled in Chandler, Arizona

After her retirement from the Banks and Credit Union, she became involved with the American Legion Auxiliary, 40/8 and VA hospital. She was also involved in Christ Greenfield Quilters. She always looked forward to seeing the Lunch Bunch. She loved her Angel Pins and would not go anywhere without them. She liked her cats and dogs and watching the birds in the bird feeder. She will be remembered for her kind heart, joyful smile and vibrant spirit.

Jan is survived by her husband Al, of Chandler, Arizona; brother Neal and wife Karen Nelson, of Minot, North Dakota, daughter Kathy and Tim Mahoney of Fargo North Dakota son Chris and Mary Nelson of Wahpeton North Dakota. Cliff and Carolyn Seitzer, their son, Brad and Angela Seitzer, Kevin and Beth Seitzer Herb and Joyce Seitzer, Rosemary Melton, and Stacy and Bill Conner.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 10:30 am at Christ Greenfield Church, 425 N. Greenfield Road, Gilbert, AZ 85234.
