Jeanne Elizabeth Nevzoroff, born on January 2, 1945, in Keshena, Wisconsin, was a loving soul who touched the hearts of many, passed away on October 25, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Elmer Peteson Katchenago and Yvonne Dorthea Newton Katchenago, beloved siblings Beverly Holsenback, Rhonda Katchenago, Patricia Martin, John Katchenago, Randall Katchenago, and Kateri Katchenago.

Jeanne was the oldest of 13 children and is survived by her loving husband, Jacob Nevzoroff Sr., and her children: Kimberly LaTender (Jim Dudek), Lisa Willis, Richard Belisle, Robert and Yvette Belisle, Jacob and Daniella Nevzoroff. Her heart was expansive, and she welcomed numerous adopted children from various neighborhoods, spreading her love far and wide.

Jeanne is furthered survived by her remaining siblings, Barbara (Colin Caldwell), Yvonne (Tony Hernandez), Roxy (Joe Ponfil), Denise Kennedy, Elmer (Mae) Katchenago Jr., and Keith Katchenago. She also leaves behind a legacy of numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, each a shining star in her life:  Jeanne’s Grandchildren include Etienne "Pete" Belisle, Audryana Belisle, Alyana Nevzoroff, Hailey Nevzoroff, , Anthony Belisle, Robert Belisle Jr, Andrea Dodds, Alexia Belisle, Richard Belisle Jr, Bristol Belisle, Jayar Belisle, Chase Belisle, Julian Belisle, Ezra Belisle, Charlise Belisle, Michael Hidalgo, Daniel Hidalgo, and Alyssa Young

Jeanne dedicated over 20 years of her life in service to the US Government, working at the Alaska Native Medical Center and the Social Security Administration. Her commitment to her work mirrored her dedication to her family.

Jeanne was known for her extraordinary culinary talents, providing warm meals for everyone she loved, whether there were four or twenty at the table. Her famous dishes, including Zucchini Bread, Chili, Fried Chicken, Fried Bread, Indian Tacos, and Mushroom Chicken, were a source of joy for those fortunate enough to taste them.

In addition to her culinary skills, Jeanne was celebrated for her legendary hugs and her penchant for cooking abundant feasts. You could always hear Patsy Cline playing in the background while she cooked breakfast for her family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on October 28, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Faith Rising Church, located at 4820 E McDowell Rd, Phoenix, Arizona. We invite friends and family to join us in commemorating the remarkable life of Jeanne Nevzoroff. Let us come together to honor her memory, share stories, and find solace in the support of our community during this difficult time.
