It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Gordon Hanselman, 68, of Chandler, Arizona who passed away peacefully in his home on September 7th, 2026.

Born on August 27th in Orange, California, John, “Jay”, lived a life filled with laughter, faith in God, and an unwavering love for his family. He was known for his incredible work ethic and his dedication to providing a beautiful life for those he loved. Jay was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who cherished his family more than anything in the world. He found so much joy in the simple things in life and had a way of making those around him laugh with his sense of humor.

Jay was dependable, hardworking, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He will forever be remembered for his laughter, his generous heart, his ability to fix just about anything, and of course, his deep love for the river, where so many special memories were made. Above all, Jay’s greatest joy was his family, and the love he gave them will continue to live on through every generation.

Jay is survived by his beautiful wife Jayna Lynne Hanselman, his two sons, Johnathan William Hanselman and Joshua Tyler Hanselman, daughter-in-law Ashley Hanselman and grand-daughter Perry Rae Hanselman; along with his two sisters Deborah Rosenbaum and Linda Fuller. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marie.
