John Patrick Ryan passed away peacefully on February 6, 2024 at the age of 64 years old after a courageous battle with cancer. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, John managed his illness with strength and grace. On his final day, he was surrounded by his loving family, who he adored more than anything else in the world.
John is survived by his wife Ruth of 40 years; his children Michelle (Ken) Martinez, Natasha Ryan, and Sean Ryan; his grandchildren Ethan, Kaden, and Talon Martinez; his parents Amelia and Davis Beach; his sisters Nancy (Joe) Serna, Patricia Ryan, Carol (John) Blair, and Liz (Bill) Reaves, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is predeceased by his biological father John Patrick Ryan Sr.
John was born on October 20, 1959 in Silver City, New Mexico to Amelia Beach and John Patrick Sr. He attended high school in Silver City and eventually moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he married his wife Ruth in 1985, before moving to Chandler, Arizona to start his career and raise a family. He was a devoted husband and father who worked tirelessly to provide for his family and loved ones. He embraced hard work and honesty, understanding the importance of integrity in all aspects of life. He cherished his role as a father, and was always there to offer his children guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
John had a zest for life and enjoyed a wide range of hobbies and activities. Whether it was carpentry, hiking, cycling, dancing, camping, or coaching and playing basketball, he found joy in every moment. He was also passionate about helping others and was always available to lend a helping hand to his neighbors, family, and friends.
In his leisure time, John enjoyed watching sports and indulging in a good western movie. These simple pleasures brought him relaxation and entertainment. But above all, he cherished the time spent with his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225.
