Jose Luis Villa, lovingly known as Louie, 83, of Chandler, Arizona, peacefully passed away on February 5, 2026, surrounded by his devoted family.
Louie was born on October 21, 1942, in Duncan, Arizona, to Lorenzo Dominguez Villa and Francesca Herrera Gonzales Villa. One of seven children, he is survived by his siblings Ernesto, Domingo, and Mary Lou. He is now reunited in heaven with his sister Mary Dora and brothers Enrique and Pedro.
On August 17, 1960, Louie married the love of his life and sweetheart, Emilia Moreno, affectionately known as Millie. She preceded him in death. Together in 65 years of marriage, they built a beautiful life grounded in faith, family, and unwavering love. Their union was blessed with five children: Connie (Phillip J. Otero), who preceded him in death; Vicki (Christopher J. Saiz); Jose Luis Villa Jr.; Gina Sosa; and Cecilia Villa.
Louie was a proud and devoted grandfather to 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Each one brought him immense pride and joy, and his love for his family knew no bounds.
He spent many years as a truck driver, finding peace and happiness on the open road while listening to Mexican music. He especially loved hearing the purr of a Peterbilt echo through the canyons of Arizona. More than anything, Louie was a fierce supporter and champion of his family—attending every sporting event for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, rain or shine. His presence was strong, loving, and unforgettable.
Though he will be deeply missed, Louie’s strength, guidance, laughter, and love will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy is carried forward through the generations of family he cherished so dearly.
