Julia Jane Nulton Kerby

November 17, 1922 – October 21, 2016

Julia J. Kerby, 93, of Gilbert, Arizona passed away quietly on October 21, 2016.

She is preceded in death by her husband, who she adored, Reed J. Kerby, they had been married 68 years before his death.

Julia is survived by four children, Larry Kerby,

Karin Riggs, (Dan) ,Vickie Karkula (Nick),

Ricky J. Kerby (Mary Sue).

Julia is the proud Grandma of 22 grandchildren, 84 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren.

With the help of others Julia made over 80 baby quilts for these children.

She was also her husbands’ right hand as she kept meticulous books for their farm.

Julia was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many leadership positions.

Her life was filled with serving and helping others.

In her later years Julia and her Husband Reed would spend there summers in Lakeside, Arizona and she loved being a grandmother, having some of her grandchildren spend the summers with them.

She was very conscious about eating good food and exercising.

Her delight was having family Christmas Parties, she was a great cook and her Christmas treats included her famous divinity, rolls, fudge and chocolate turtle’s and she loved Spanish food.

Julia loved to travel she went on cruises, traveled to Hong Kong, Bali , New York, Catalina Island, and Nauvoo just to name a few.

She is loved dearly by many friends and family and will be greatly missed.

Services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, 21320 South Greenfield Road, Gilbert, Arizona.

Services are 10 A.M.

Visitation will be held Thursday, from 9:00 to 9:45 A.M.in the Relief Society Room of the Church.

Interment will be at the Pima Cemetery in Pima, Arizona October 27 at 3 P.M.
