Kathaleen Jesse “Kitty” Strohmeyer

Kathaleen Jesse “Kitty” Strohmeyer died peacefully on April 7, 2022, at the age of 96 in Chandler, Arizona.   She was born on April 23, 1925, to Jessie and Cleaton (Jones) Wilkes in Maxton, North Carolina and is survived by her daughters Dawn Hoy and Linda Maughan; adored son-in-law Bob Maughan; grandchildren Kristin Seagrave, Jacob Knutson Hoy, Robert Maughan, Matthew Maughan; niece Carla DuLaney, and here adored great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Victor E. Strohmeyer, her parents, and sisters Ruth Dulaney, Hazel McLaughlin, Vera Keichell, and Chris Glisson.

She loved life so much and spread that feeling around her.  She adored her silver sneaker ladies and wonderful neighbors that helped her after the loss of her husband to live independently to the end.  Her family is grateful for all who loved her.

Her Funeral Service will be held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ  85024 on April 21, 2023, at 1:30 pm (main entry is on Pinnacle Peak Road).

Donations in her honor should be sent to Hospice of the Valley.
