, 64, of Queen Creek, Arizona, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 23, 2021, surrounded by family and friends.

Kent was born December 6, 1956, to Lyle and Ellen Wackerman in Butler, Missouri. Kent graduated from the University of Missouri in 1978. He worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City for 33 years and met his wife, Rebecca (Beckey) Lightfoot, there in 1985. Kent retired and moved to Encanterra County Club in Queen Creek, Arizona in 2014. Kent loved his family, friends, dogs, golf, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas City Royals, and hiking the National Parks.

Kent was preceded in death by his parents and his mother and father-in-law.

Kent is survived by his loving wife Beckey of 31 years, his brother Kevin (Teena) Wackerman, his brother-in-laws Robert Morgan (Jewel) Lightfoot, Daniel (Leslie) Lightfoot, sister-in-laws Susan (Mark) Thomas, Annette (Keith) Knerr, Amber (Kevin) Leavy, five nephews, six nieces, three grandnephews, and four grandnieces.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., February 8, 2021, at Encanterra Country Club, La Cocina, 36460 North Encanterra Drive, Queen Creek, Arizona. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Kent’s memory be made to Community Food Bank at CTV, Christ The Victor Church, 6173 Arizona Farms Rd., Florence, Arizona 85132.
