89, passed away on March 4th, 2016 at home in Chandler, AZ. He was born in Jerome, AZ on May 1

, 1926.
Leo grew up in Phoenix, AZ, and entered the US Navy after high school serving through the end of WWII. After his discharge from the Navy, he returned to Phoenix and joined the Arizona Highway Patrol in 1951, where he served 40 years until his retirement in 1991.
Leo married Patricia Sexton in 1948 in Phoenix, AZ. He is survived by Patricia, his sons Paul (Deborah) of Gilbert, AZ and Stephen (Doreen) of Glen Allen, VA; a sister, Carrie Babina of Mesa and a brother Lionel (Buddy) Villalpando of Phoenix. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren as well as his nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Leo was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Villalpando.
A Memorial Service will be held at Bueler Mortuary and Chapel, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ at 10:00 AM, Saturday March 12
th
. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at that time. Interment will be by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to East Valley Hospice, Chandler, AZ.
