Linda Ruth Parker
, 64, long time resident of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on November 9th and has gone home to meet her parents and family members on the other
side of the veil. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, neighbors and 25
th
Ward members, where she faithfully served in the primary for 30 years.
Linda was the first child born to Morris & Betty Parker in Payson, Utah. After Linda graduated from Westwood High School, she worked at Deseret Industries and the Marc Center where she was a friend to everyone, before retiring.
Linda, loved to read the newspaper, TV guide and her favorite picture books, visit museums, talk with family members, watch old TV shows & videos, and especially loved Dancing with the Stars and listening to Donny Osmond sing. She loved and interacted with her dogs Piper and Bella as much if not more than her family.
Linda finished her life well and was a choice daughter of God and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her pure heart and unwavering desire to follow her brother Jesus Christ brought so much happiness into her life and those around her. She would read her scriptures, pray and write in her journal every day. She was able to remember her siblings and their spouse’s birthdays along with all the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Linda was predeceased by her parents Morris & Betty Parker and her niece Kristin Parker. She is survived by the following siblings: Susan, Janet, Alan, Sandy and Beverly along with many adored nieces, nephews and cousins, who are still alive.
A celebration of her life will be held at the 25
th
Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 848 N. Westwood in Mesa 85201 on November 21st with a viewing at 10am and service at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you find someone who is in need and help them, because that would make Linda very happy.
