Lou Emma Jefferson

Lou Emma Jefferson, born October 5, 1937, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at the age of 88. 

Born to Thelma and Elvie Johnson in Henderson Texas. She would go on to graduate from Wellston High school in St. Louis Missouri. In her adult years Lou worked for McDonnell Douglas company known now as Boeing Aircraft Company, as a production worker. Where she gave 20 years of service to the company. Throughout her life she could often be found cooking, doing a crossword puzzle, or a little shopping. Her family will always remember how she loved to sing, dance, laugh and enjoy spending time with family and friends. 

Mrs. Lou Emma Jefferson is remembered and cherished by an extensive circle of family. She is survived by her daughters Sheila (Jesse Smith) Missouri, Nancy (Ted Junge) Missouri, Angela, Arizona, Sonja (Greg Smith) Tennessee, and by her son Keith (preceded by Juanita Jefferson) Missouri. Lou's legacy also lives on in her grandchildren—Marliss (Garrett Ortego) Arizona, Brandon, Florida, and Ashton, Tennessee,  her great-grandchildren, Zoey and Zayn. Her siblings Franz, Virginia and Jerrice, Missouri. 

Lou is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jordan Jefferson, Jr. 93 years old, as well as by her parents, Thelma Johnson and Elvie Johnson, Her sisters Joyce and Elizabeth, and her brothers Don Alvin, and Thelma Lee. 

A visitation will take place for Lou on August 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Whitney & Murphey Bueler Mortuary, located at 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, Arizona. Followed by a burial service at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, at 2:00 p.m.
