Lucille Schumacher
, 104, of Queen Creek, AZ. passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at her home. Lucille was born on January 18, 1916 in Teutopolis, IL. The daughter of Henry H. and Catherine (Conahan) Althoff. She inspired all by getting her GED at age 50. She married Vincent (Henry) Schumacher and they were blessed with 5 children. Lucille had many professions through the years. The most important of those was Mom. She had an extremely strong Christian faith and love for her family. Lucille had experienced so much in one life time. She was proud to have been part of the centurion club. She always looked forward to each new day and always did her daily prayers. She prayed her rosary every day without fail and had an incredibly long prayer list. She had an amazing connection with God and for anyone who was on her prayer list we will miss our angel on earth. Those she leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include her five children and their spouses; Roger (Patricia) Schumacher of Chandler, AZ, Mark (Kathryn) Schumacher of Owasso, OK, Patrick Schumacher of Owasso, OK, Jane (Bruce) Early of Mesa, AZ, Joyce Brown of Queen Creek, AZ., 14 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren. Her spouse, in-laws, and siblings precede her in death.
The viewing will be held on Sunday, September 13 from 6-7 p.m. directly followed by the rosary from 7-8pm. Both will be held at Bueler Chandler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr., Chandler, AZ
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Monday, September 14 at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held directly afterwards.
At the funeral mass temperatures will be taken at the door. Facemasks are required. The church has requested that families (living in the same household) gather together outside the church and enter together. The staff will be seating families together.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
