Marcella Lowe

Marcella Lowe passed away July 15, 2025 in Chandler, AZ at the age of 92. Marcella was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 8, 1932, to parents Ralph and Nancy Gowdie. 

After high school Marcella went to work for The May Company. In 1975 the family relocated to Arizona. Marcella had a few jobs outside the house over the years, but her happiest job was as a homemaker, taking care of her family. She is known famously for her Christmas cookies and shared them with many people over the years. Marcella was also a devoted Cleveland sports fan, following her beloved Cavaliers, Indians, and Browns.

Marcella was preceded in death by her husband Robert Sr., her son Robert Jr., her parents Ralph and Nancy, and sisters Marie and Louise.

She is survived by her children Patricia Lowe, Michael Lowe (Debbie), Ralph Lowe, Donna Lowe, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, her sisters Rosemarie Killion and Joanne Simmons, and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 East Pinnacle Peak Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024 at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, where she will be reunited with her husband Robert.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
