Marilyn Regina Douglas
88, Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at her home with her family by her side.
Marilyn was born in May Texas in 1932, To John B Plummer and Jessie M Stephens. Marilyn was married to her husband Henry (Cliff) Douglas for over 70 years.
Marilyn was a homemaker, an avid tennis player, and a charter member of the Tempe Racquet Club. Her love of tennis was passed on to her daughter Liz. She loved to ice skate with her husband in her younger years. Marilyn was a long-time member of PEO Chapter BF in Chandler, Arizona, and was a volunteer for many years at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. Marilyn loved her desert home, designed by her son John and her beautiful desert landscaped garden, where she spent many hours. Marilyn loved art, much of which was created by her daughter Susan and Susan’s husband David. She liked to listen to music from the 50s and was fond of her pets and desert wildlife.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Cliff Douglas, her son John Douglas FAIA, her daughters Susan Manje and Elizabeth (Liz) Douglas, her granddaughters Emily Salamandra and Anna Douglas, and her sister Karen Mayfield.
