Martha Mary Paulson

Martha Mary Paulson

of Chandler, Arizona passed away on October 21, 2022, at home with her husband.  She was born June 9, 1936, to Arthur C. McGee Sr. and Virginia (Rounds) McGee in Royal Oak, Michigan.  Martha had a way of interacting with others that left each of them happy to have met her, some even going so far as calling her their angel.  Martha married her husband Jeff September 23, 1976, and over those 46 years they shared a love that grew deeper each day.  Martha was previously married to Tom Rinke that bore her four children, two born in Michigan and the other two in Arizona. In 1959 they moved to Arizona.  Martha held a variety of jobs, but her last one before retirement was taking care of plants for various companies and individuals, where she became known as the “Plant Lady”.  The irony is the plants in her home rarely survived, which we all recalled when the opportunity arose with much laughter.  Martha was a 17-year survivor of a quadruple heart surgery and breast cancer.

Martha’s parents, sister Helene McGee, brother Eric Romburg, great-granddaughter Haiden, niece Tami Irvin, nephew Daniel McGee, sister-in-law Barbara Locke, and in-laws Lyndon and Joan Paulson preceded her passing.  She is survived by her closest and dearest friend, husband Jeffrey; children Michael Rinke (Kim), Carrie Reuter (Chris), Mark Rinke, and Kurt Rinke (Jodi); grandchildren Justin Reuter, Erin Maxwell (Ryan), Lindsay Binninger (Brian), Shane Rinke (Taryn), Michelle Rinke, Logan Rinke (fiancée Madison), Shelby Rinke, Haley Rinke, and Madison Rinke; great-grandchildren Blakely, Charley, and Zoey; niece Laura Bryll; brother-in-law L. Joel Paulson (Barbara); and sister-in-law Pamela Lyons (Tom).  A private family memorial and burial to occur and the celebration of Martha’s life will be held at a later date.
