Ms. Johnnie Mae Howard
, age 86, of Chandler, Arizona passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Chandler Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born December 4, 1932 in Gainesville, Texas to Alvin, Sr and Francis Byais (Miller). She was the second daughter of three children.
As a small child, Johnnie Mae and her family moved to Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas then at the age of seventeen she moved to Chandler, Arizona where she married her husband, Wilton Howard, Sr.
Johnnie Mae grew up and was part of the cotton movement in America. Instead of going to school she picked cotton to help support her family. Later as an adult she worked as a Housekeeper until she retired.
Johnnie Mae accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in March of 1986. She was a member of Victory Christian Center which later became Life Changers Church. She faithfully served and volunteered her time in the nursery and later became a Greeter.
She was a simple woman with a pure heart who loved her family unconditionally. She enjoyed watching TV and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Proceeded in death is her Father, Mother, Sister-Aretha Brown, Brother-Alvin Byais, Jr., and Husband, Wilton Howard, Sr.
Johnnie Mae is survived by her three children, Shirley Brooks (Chandler, Az), Wilton Howard, Jr (Sacramento, Ca) and Judy Reamey (Chandler, Az).
Eight grandchildren; Teresa Robinson (Greg Robinson) (Mesa, Az), Tamika Williams (Tiny-Tim), Demond Howard (Knox), Andrew Howard (Jamie Howard) (Sacramento, Ca), LaTonya Reamey (Buckoynce), Eric Howard (Sacramento, Ca), Jalal Reamey, Jr (J.J), and Brandon Madison (Chandler, Az).
Sixteen great grandchildren; Tyrone Casteal (Portland, Or), Tamere Robinson (Lil Boy), Jamel Woods (Fat-Fat), Tahji Robinson (Baby Tahj), Andrew Howard, Jr (Sacramento, Ca), Darious Williams (Tub A Lard), Isaac Williams (Phoenix, Az), Jaden Howard (Sacramento, Ca), Jalen Howard (Sacramento, Ca), Cameron Howard (Sacramento, Ca), Amaya Howard (Sacramento, Ca), Shawn Colman, Jr (Baby Shawn), Chandler Howard (Sacramento, Ca), Jaleah Reamey (Maricopa, Az), Brynlee Howard (Sacramento, Ca), Cambrelle Reamey-Laws (Chandler, Az).
She also leaves other cherished family friends such as John and Linda Olbrantz. And a host of many others.
