Pastor Taehoon John Kim, age 72, of Phoenix, Arizona, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 29, 2026.
Born in July of 1954 in South Korea, Taehoon dedicated his entire life to serving God and loving those around him. As a devoted pastor, he spent decades shepherding his congregation, preaching the Word, and offering comfort, counsel, and prayer to anyone in need. His unshakeable faith in God was the guiding light of his life and ministry.
Beyond his calling in the ministry, Taehoon was a cherished husband, a loving son, and a proud father and grandfather. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family, sharing laughter, and watching his children and grandchildren grow. His legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on through them.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kyong; his children, Sungmin, Sungsoo, Sunggu; his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sophie, Caleb, Rebecca, Rachel, Zacariah, Hope; and many extended family members, friends, and congregation members who loved him dearly.
A celebration of Taehoon’s life and ministry will be held on November 3, 2026 at 5 p.m. at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary (14 W. Hulet Dr. Chandler, AZ 85225).
