Patricia Ann (Fitzgerald) Cox

Patricia Ann (Fitzgerald) Cox died on July 1, 2025 after a long eventful life. 

Patricia was predeceased by her husband Frank Wilbur Cox; her parents Leo A. Fitzgerald and Frances L. (Lafferty) Fitzgerald and her brothers Leo and Harold (Joe). She is survived by her 11 children, Frances Cox and husband Art Giguere, James and wife Sheryl, Diane, John and wife Kathy, Lawrence and wife Shelle, Christine and husband Jim Gallagher, Teresa Morelan, Catherine Tronnes, Donna and husband Gregory Mater, Virginia and husband Jerry Connelly, Barbara and husband Brandon Roberson and her 23 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Patricia "Pat", "Patty Ann", was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Saint Mary's Academy (a boarding school) for two years and then to Bishop Hogan Senior High School in Kansas City, MO, graduating in 1948. Following graduation, she enrolled in Saint Mary's College in Leavenworth, KS for one year  and then onto Providence Hospital School of Nursing in Kansas. She worked at Saint Joseph's Hospital near her home as a Registered Nurse. In 1952 she married Frank W. Cox with whom she enjoyed (we think) 65+ years of marriage. She was a devoted Catholic and over her life was active in many parishes and volunteer organizations.

The family requests no gifts or donations.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Whitney & Murphy Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive, Chandler, AZ 85225. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 16223 S. 48th Street, Phoenix 85048.
