Patricia B. Hoel, was born on March 17, 1928, in Fort Lee/Englewood, New Jersey, on St. Patrick's day. This was also during the early construction of the George Washington Bridge. She passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, in Apache Junction, Arizona, exactly one month before her 98th birthday.

Pat's life was rich with family, grounded in her commitment as a homemaker and her work as a sales clerk for notable retailers such as Rockaway Sales, Woolco, and K Mart. Her marriage to Lawrence Hoel Sr. on January 26, 1947, marked the beginning of a partnership that would last for 50 wonderful years. Together, they raised six children across various communities in New Jersey, including Rockaway Borough.

In 1975, Pat and Larry made the decision to relocate to Mesa, Arizona. Pat was a nurturing mother and grandmother whose love extended to 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her sons William (Karen), Lawrence Jr. (Deborah), and David. 

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence; her sons Rodney and Louis, and her only daughter Joyce. As well as her parents Louis and Beatrice Hirsch, and her five siblings.

Pat will be lovingly remembered at her graveside service on March 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery & Funeral Home 1562 E. Baseline road, Mesa, Arizona 85204.
